I'm glad you are so good that you don't listen to the pro's, good for you. I don't have the '84 Vette shop manual, I use Snap-On Shop Key, that connector supplies power to two terminals of the ECM and as far as I can see the terminology is not "Clear Codes Connector" but that's my info and it would be the first GM car I've seen since 1979 with a connector of that name. But what do I know, I'm one of those FACTORY TRAINED techs who's opinion you don't place any value on.
I just go by what Ive seen and read' there are always a few variations especially with a system like yours that was used in only two model year Corvette's.
