Definitely start by checking ALL of the fuses in the side panel. Can't see a fuse keeping it from cranking, tho.
Perhaps the battery is just not up to par?
Disconnecting the stereo head can sometimes cause a drain on the battery.....it keeps the amp relays energized, I believe.
The secondary/aux cooling fan is not supposed to come on until the engine temps gets above 225 or so, or unless the A/C is on.
