Hello All,

I have a '93 6 speed and now the hatch doesn't open but the remote, door button or console button.  The fuse is good.  where should I start looking? Some say a ground bad ground but don't give much direction???

Also, is there a way to manually open it from inside the car?

thank you all in advance

Todd

Not 100% sure on a '93, but earlier cars has an "emergency" release cable for the rear hatch. It is located under the carpet in the REAR of the car. You'll have to pull the carpet down to find it...it's not very long. Give it a tug, and the hatch should open. Some folks have modified the cable to make it longer, so it's easier to get to. If you have the Owner's Manual for your car, that info should be in it.

There is a problem with the release solenoid, and sometimes the relays. Not sure where the relay on a '93 is, but I can prolly find that info in the morning, if no-one else knows. Thumbs Up
