I was curious.  My L83 has a black CFI.  Most of what i have seen of the CFI are a light grey.  Does anyone know why or what the significance is of mine being black.  P.S. it isn't painted that is the color.

Could possibly just be tarnished, much like the valve covers get. They usually turn brown, tho. Can't say I've seen them black that weren't painted/coated to be black. Got a pic?
