I did a build my own C7 on the Chevy web yesterday.  Gorgeous white vert with silver stipes then this morning I got in mine and said "screw the C7".

Spent some time the other day at the auto show and looked at a C7 convertible.  There were a couple of nice things on the C7 I'd love to have on my C4: the waterfall convertible top panel between the front seats, the dedicated space for the soft top along with the trunk lid.

IMO those would be really sweet to add to a C4 but I have a hard time thinking about spending more than my first house (by a factor of 3+) for a car.

I was thinking about going to a C5, but after driving my co-workers 2001, I'll stick with my '84.....the C5's don't have that excitement for me that the C4's and earlier have.....

The C7 is gorgeous, imo.  I sat in a few at the dealership, just because.  I certainly can't spend that kind of money on a car.  Fortunately, I'm happy with the fun the C4 brings me without breaking the bank.  Today it was in the 80s here, clear and sunny.  We did a lot of travelling about because we're car shopping right now.  Enjoyed driving the 95 around while enjoying the great weather.

I guess for most of us; the C7 is just a bit out of reach financially. I too have looked at them at shows, and truly respect the technology that has been put into the car. But for the money I would have to put out to own one; I think I would be able to find a real nice 67 that I would much rather own. Guess I am a bit old school.

One more thing on the C7 - who could work on one themselves?  Without a garage with $100,000 worth of equipment, who can do anything on it other than put in some gas and turn the key?

I may not be good yet, but at least I can open the hood and do some of the work myself with the tools I have.
