The 275/40r17 Nexen 3000s that I have on my 1989 are worn down pretty good, and I know it's time for new ones.I really liked them Nexen 3000s when new,but they wear out fast.I admit that I never rotated them, but they all wore at about the same rate..My question is have any of you ever tried 245/45s ,or 255/40s on the stock 9.5" rims..It seems that they come in a far better selection, and a good bit cheaper to boot..I don't drive like a maniac, but I do get a wild hair every now,and then, and open her up...Thanks

I am currently running Goodyear F1 on my 94 coupe, 255/45 - 17 front and 285/40 - 17 rear. I am looing at replacing them with the Continental Extreme Contact WD, since I don't really drive my 94 are all that hard and from what I can tell the Extreme Contact WD gives me about 95% of the performance handling with better wet weather performance.
