There is probably an issue with your login.

When you see the message that says you have been denied access,  take a look at the top left of the page under the big C3 Vette Registry logo, does it say "Logged in as your_member_name" or "Not logged in"?
Also, while looking at the denied message, look at the top right of the page, just above the sponsor ad, does it say "Logout [your_member_name]" or does it say "Login" on the same line as the link for "FAQ"?

If the first one says "Not logged in" AND/OR the second one says "Login" then you are not properly logged into the site.  Fixing it should be easy.
1. Under the "My Account" menu, click "Logout"
2. Then just log in again.

When you return to the forums, both areas should have your member name.  If not, let us know and we'll figure something else out.

If the above does not work, you will need to reset your cookies....

If you have Firefox (version 3x), reset your cookies with these directions:
Go to the "Tools" menu at the top of Firefox browser window
Click "Options..."
Select the "Privacy" heading
In the "Cookies" section, make sure "Accept cookies from sites" is checked.  if it is not, check it, then click the OK button.
If "Accept cookies from site" is already check, click the "Show Cookies..." button
In the "Cookies" window that appears, click inside the "Search" box and enter "c4vetteregistry" (all lower case, no quotes).
Click on the first c4vetteregistry.com item on the list.
Hold down your shift-key on the keyboard and click the last item on the list.  (At this point, all c4vetteregistry.com items should be highlighted)
Click "Remove Cookies" button.
Click "Close" button
Click "OK" button
(NOTE: If you do this right, it will only delete C4VR cookies.  You will have to re-login, and if you're used to being logged into C4VR automatically, make sure you check the box on the login page to do so.)

If this doesn't work, another thing you can try is clearing your Cache.
Go to the "Tools" menu at the top of Firefox browser window
Click "Options..."
Select the "Advanced" heading.
In the "Offline Storage" section, click "Clear Now"
Click OK

For Internet Explorer Version 7, do this to clear cookies:
Click the "Tools" menu item
Select "Internet Options"
On the "General" tab, in the "Browsing History" section, click the "Delete..." button.
Under the "Cookies" section click the "Delete Cookies..." button, then answer "Yes" to the question.
Click "Close"
Click "OK"
(NOTE: This will delete ALL cookies for ALL websites.  You will have to re-login to C4VR, and if you're used to being logged into C4VR automatically, make sure you check the box on the login page to do so.  Also any other site you had set to log in automatically.)

If that doesn't work, you can try clearing your Cache.
Click the "Tools" menu item
Select "Internet Options"
On the "General" tab, in the "Browsing History" section, click the "Delete..." button.
Under the "Temporary Internet Files" section, click the "Delete Files..." button, then answer "Yes" to the question.
Click "Close"
Click "OK.

Where are you trying to upload the picture?  What page are you on at the time? What do you click to do it?
How big is the file you are trying to upload?

Take a look at the FAQ thread and see if that helps. Make sure the file/pic size is not too large, and check to see if there are any "illegal" characters in the file name, such as a space, -, ", or anything like that(You may need to "rename" the file to something simple like "pic1").
If the FAQ area doesn't help, shoot me a P/M, and I'll see if we can figure it out.

Are you using the Image upload button in the post reply box? When you upload from there, using the "browse" button, and then select your file from there, you hit the "upload" button, then "OK" when it says to wait,  then wait for the upload. Once the upload is complete, click the "OK" button at the bottom. The image will be inserted into the post, like this one I just did.

If the pics is not uploading as I just described, it may have something to do with the name of the file, or possibly the type of file(jpeg/bitmap/tiff, etc.)

P/M sent

Update...the issue with Frank's pic was the name of the file. It had one space, and it had parenthesis. The software/logic does not like things like that, so it doesn't recognize it.  Be sure the name of your pic file(s) does not have any spaces, or characters other than numbers and letters. You can use the underscore _ instead of a space, and be ok. I usually recommend you rename your pics as pic1, pic2, or something like johndoevette.
You're ready to go now, Frank. Nice, car, btw.
