C4 Tips & Tricks
We need to start building our catalog of Tips & Tricks for the C4. This area will be filled with suggestions from members just likeyou!   Here is an example from our C3 collection:

Interior :Attaching Arm Rest When Holes Are Stripped
The arm rest on my 78 were always loose due to the holes used to attach the arm rest to the door frame had been reamed out too large or stripped and would not hold a screw. Larger screws would not work as they wold split the guides on the arm rest.
My solution was to get what they call speed nuts and epoxy them to the back of the stripped holes in the frame. They are small enough to fit in the tight spaces and once the epoxy cures are pretty sturdy.
Then just screw the arm rest to the door as you normally would making sure the screw goes into the speed nut. Worked on my 78.

Adam,
I will help on here if you need it. I don't have alot of time as I drive ready mix concrete truck 12+ hours a day but Like the idea of a C4 only forum. I tried to get into the "corvette forum" C4 registry and was told it was shut down..only historical reference now. Too bad we can't get that data base Smile.
I can help with tech articles that I find. I was an auto tech for over 30 years. I did send in the one on 4+3 trans to T-5 swap. That is an interesting one. Let me know what I can do.

I appreciate the offer for help.
See the C4 Tips & Tricks and How Tos in the post that you replied to.  Submissions for those areas would be a great start.

I have been working on my car for over a year now.  I am doing a couple of mods to it.

Pulled the engine and Trans out, and then pulled the rear out, and the full interior out.  I am in the process of back halving the car, putting in a 12 point cage, doing a 4-Link suspension with narrowed Ford Rearend, and will be putting in a Twin Turbo Charged Tuned Port Injected engine back in the car with TH400 for a Trans.  I have quite a few pics of the build and a build thread I could post up on here if that is what you are all interested in.  Shoot me an E-Mail to markselig@yahoo.com or on here, and I will be happy to post it up for everyone to review, and watch the progress as I have made it only part way through the build.
