The Candlewood Valley Corvette Club will be holding it's 22nd Annual Corvette Show and Shine (Rain or Shine) on Sunday, Aug. 17th from 8 AM to 4 PM. To be held at Cendant Mobility, 40 Apple Ridge Road, Danbury, CT. (take I-84 E or W to Exit 3 in Danbury. Turn left at end of Mall ramp. Go to 3rd traffic light and turn right onto Kenosia Ave. Turn left at next light and follow signs to top of the hill and into the show.) All year vettes welcomed, with special promotion for 1953 vettes. Preregistration $15 after 8/10/03 the cost will be $20. Spectators are $6 with children under 12 FREE. Each August since 1986, Corvettes for Kids, Inc., has been sponsoring a Corvette show whose proceeds benefit local children with life-threatening illnesses or conditions. This year's spokesperson is Keith Horchak, an 8 year-old boy from Pottstown, PA. He is diagnosed with cerebal palsy, developmental delays, congenital hyprocephalus, seizure disorder, scoliosis, blindness, Huntington's disease that is dormant at this time and other conditions. His father is currently suffering from Huntingdon's disease. This family could really use your help. Location is Washington Township Elementary School on Route 100 just south of Bally, PA. Sunday, August 10, 2003 - Parking of Pre-Registered Cars Begins at 10am rain or shine. General Gate opens 11am to 4pm. Only pre-registered cars will receive t-shirts. Cost is $25 at the gate.
