Do you know if the compressor clutch is even engaging?
Low pressure switch will keep the compressor from working if your unit is low on refrigerant.

If you don't know how to check, have a mechanic friend check for you, or go to a shop you trust.

Good solid advice, working on an a/c can be dangerous work.It all starts with the clutch engaging, must have 12 -14 volts on the clutch.
