Passenger side hood does not latch properly without excessive force. Is it adjustable? Any help is appreciated

If it is anything like a 93 then yes...you can loosen a sort of captive bolt and adjust the "bumper in or out for more or less travel.

Three possibilities:

Is the hood pin centered in the socket?   The mounting plate for the hood pin is adjustable.   Look for marks on the socket cone where the hood pin might be off-center.

Is the hood pin too short?   Loosen the big lock nut at the top of the hood spring, then adjust the pin.

Lack of lubrication?   Remove the socket cone plate to lube the release lever pivot.   This plate will easily go back in the same position.   No adjustment will be necessary.
