Good, there's still some activity here -- I knew some of you guys and gals didn't hibernate.......tempting as that may have been this year.......

As bad as we have it here in Southern Ontario, we're disturbed to see it much worse south of here and along the eastern seaboard. Unusual for sure and I wish you all well and a quick recovery from all the nasty weather and a quick warm-up to spring.
At least it's so-called spring in about 3 weeks -- let's hope Mother Nature checks her calendar and gives us what we so need (and deserve) .....

Keep the faith folks -- I've got a gut feeling we might have a warm, and beautiful spring in time with the season.

Yes, hope isn't a good strategy, but when it's all you have ....................... Smile

Looking forward to chatting and seeing some great cars.

I've got some mods on the go for spring (Exhaust, bushings, manual fan control, and tranny cooler) -- as many of you do, so let's all think positively -- also not a good strategy but it sure won't hurt.

Stay safe and warm folks --

Colin.

Spring can't come soon enough for me.  I can't even get the Vette or T-Bird out of the garage due to the 4"-6" ruts in the snow and ice in the alley.  It's been too cold to even work on the car, it was -12 again this morning and more snow predicted for the next couple of days.
I'm sick of winter, anyone know how to do a Spring Dance (variation of a Rain Dance)?

Heard this winter has been the 9th worst on record, and they started recording around 1890!

Someone really ticked off Mother Nature, and I'd like to know who.

Enjoy that sun WN -- here there's a foot and half of snow on the back yard ---- Usually there's no more than 6".

cold forecast for the next week or so then warming (slightly) - maybe some melt .. If mother nature gets her act together too quickly there going to be some major flooding around our river lowlands and maybe thru town too.
(Remember the flood of '74 in Galt, Ontario?)

Got an appointment in the shop for mods April 7th -- Corsa, bushings, fan control, and trans oil cooler. The way it's going here we'll get another few dumps of snow, cold windy crap, and a mess of salt on the roads.Cry

Got a month to go til my apptmt......trying to stay positive. fargin' weather makes it tough.

Hey Colin, I've got a Corsa exhaust on my '91 and it sounds great.  I think you'll like it alot as well.  I'm in Liverpool, NY and have had a good share of the "winter blues" myself.  March is always the worst month for me 'cause I've had enough and am anxious for the sun and warmth.  One "oasis" that helps me get through is the indoor car show coming up at the fairgrounds in Syracuse this month.

Have you ever attended "Vettes at the Beach" in Sylvan Beach, NY?  It's hosted by the club I am affiliated with, Syracuse Corvette Club.  It's usually the last Sunday in July.  Check it out on our site @ SyracuseCorvetteClub.com along with other events we have.

Once a year in the last few years we've gone to Watkins Glen to drive our cars on the track.  IT'S AWESOME!!!  Last year a few members from a Canadian Corvette Club had joined us.  You might consider this if you haven't already.

Hey Wingnut, do you have any other info in regards to the show you mentioned in your hometown?

Right on Rick -- Winter is getting old around here. A warming trend starts soon so there's light at the end of the tunnel (and it's not the train)..

Got the '94 out the other day and brought here home. Cold but dry clear day -- now she's back in my garage waiting for some TLC.

Felt so fine behind the wheel tho. Missed her for 5 months and got some making up to do.

Taking her in April 7 for some mods (exhaust, trans cooler, fan control etc) and really looking forward to that Corsa system.

Would love to do "Vettes on the Beach" and the Glen, but for now homelife keeps me close to home mostly -- Hard to get away for anything more than a day.
I'll definitely check events out on your site tho.

Come on Summer, we all need some seat time.

Colin.

Well after a very long snowy and cold winter the 2014 vette season here in Central New York has arrived (even if it is already April 4th). This morning I awoke to a bright sunny dry day without a cloud in site. Strolled out to the garage and removed the cover from my 95 coupe. Checked all the fluids, removed the battery tender and; ignition! All vitals on the dash display looked within range and did that 350 sound awesome. Headed out for a nice cruise around the town receiving many thumbs-up from oncoming traffic. The first drive of the year is always and awesome experience. Well after some miles accumulated under the tires I headed back home into the garage to cover her up a we are expecting sleet tomorrow morning (sad but true)....but at least I have now initiated  the 2014 vette season. Come on Summer!

drove mine home from storage the previous Monday and yes it felt so good.

Been not too bad here lately -- but tonight and tomorrow is forecast freezing rain and rain.

At least the rain should wash some of the salt away.

Headed in for exhaust and other mods on Monday.

Enjoy folks -- it's been a long time coming.
