I am happy.  I "struck" right "out of the shoot" and bought a BBK throttle body for my new Corvette JUST before BLACK FRIDAY.  I had been watching the prices for the 52 mm. BBK throttle bodies on eBay and comparing them to the black Friday specials the vendors had been offering.  I had been considering sending the throttle body off to an aftermarket rebuilding firm -- and I found one, Dr. Injector, in Federal Way, Wa., very nearby, who specifically addressed rebushing the throttle shaft, the particular problem: my throttle body had a loose, wiggly shaft that caused a significant vacuum leak.  It plagued the previous owner who wound up applying a weird copper colored spray all over the intake area (those of you who saw the car late August on eBay will remember its odd appearance).  That was a vacuum sealant, and luckily, it removed readily with acetone and lots of rubbing.
So now, I am here at the keyboard anxiously awaiting the maillady to deliver my new BBK throttle body.  Friends convinced me that with the money I saved (the 1987 coupe was a really good buy), the $273 for the new BBK over $179 for the rebuild was a good choice.
BUT...  it now seems that what I did kind of skewed the rest of the BLACK FRIDAY / CYBER MONDAY thing.  I was going to wait and act after I saw the deals "pile up" but I was convinced to "act now" and I did.  I am really glad I did because it doesn't look like the deals got any better.  And now, all of the extensions and even a CYBER TUESDAY offering are getting annoying.  Seems like there still are some holdouts out there, still waiting for a while longer before they apply that discount!
I am wondering if I didn't act then, if I would be anxiously peering on the internet for that DEAL on pins and needles like the psychologists want us to do.  At 60, I don't think I have that kind of energy anymore.  I think I'll go out into the garage and polish the Corvette up.  Maybe consider painting the floor shiny gray in the spring...  At least let the computer cool down.

There are lots of aftermarket parts that your car can benefit from, all the while you stash the originals.

TB
Coil
air induction
reduction pulleys
etc......
