My one hour project for today turned out a disaster. The left rear cable that I ordered turned out to be the incorrect dimensions. I removed the original frozen cable and began to install the replacement cable. The replacement cable is to long from the caliper mounting bracket and the mounting bracket on the wheel. I called the supplier but was told that that they had sent the correct cable. I took pictures and emailed them to the supplier. I am waiting for them to respond.
I am asking if anyone on this forum has had the same problem. I would also like to know if anyone has found the correct cable and where.

I just tried to do the parking brake cables on my '87. The left cable does not seem to be available here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Fortunately it freed up and is now working ok after soaking it in oil overnight.
It seems that there is a supply problem, at least, with the left cables.

Had this problem myself..
I can't seem to locate the shorter cable and I had to remove the spring off the end to get more adjustment on it. It's not ideal, so I'm going to ask the local boat chandler guys if they can shorten it for me..
