Has anyone successfully navigated the three row all aluminum radiator upgrade for a L98 C4 Corvette. If yes, where did you get your radiator, did you have any install issues other than modifying the rubber mounts at the bottom and trimming the shroud, and what radiator did you select.

Did you change your surge tank, did you have any issues with your water  pump?

I was seriously considering a three row. I reviewed many radiators on the market. Most are unfortunately chinese. The reviews are mixed. I like to install it and forget it. Most claim that they start to leak after a few months or years. I ended up buying the larger DeWitt from Ecklers. They gave me a great deal. I couldn’t be happier. It may cost more but it’s a high quality piece and it bolted right in. I hope that helps you.

My 91 was always running hot, even after I had heads machines and new gaskets. I decided to replace the rad and on the advice of Da Silva Motorsports, they suggested that if the engine is stock, then a new standard rad will work just fine. I put in a basic rad and the heat guage has not gone past 1/2 since unless caught in traffic, then maybe creeps to 3/4. In other words it works just fine.

My '90 would also run really hot and especially in summer months would get dangerously close to the max.  I had the thermostat replaced with a lower temp threshold and used Water Wetter at the recommendation of my mechanic.  She now runs much cooler and maybe hits 3/4 like the person who answered earlier.
