A member suggested we have a forum for members to post pics of their C4 and tell the story about how they came to own it and what they've done to it (or plan to).

So to add your C4, just create a new topic in the "Show off your C4!" category.

In the message, tell us about you and your C4.

To post pictures, click the  button just above the Font Size boxes in the message area.
A box will come up that will allow you to select an image that is already in your folder, upload a new image, or link to an existing image URL.

If you upload a new image, it must be no larger than 5MB and will be automatically resized to 700 pixels wide if it is larger than that.

If your file is over 5MB (C4VR's new upload size limit), you can try this online resize tool.  Select the "600 Pixels" option and you should be good to go!  After you click the Resize button, remember to right-click the resized image to save it to your hard drive, then choose that new file to upload here.

Below is an example of an image that was larger than 700 pixels and I uploaded.

Enjoy!

Okay.....we'll give it go, goven'r.....Wink

I had a beautiful 1987 Corvette Convertible that was all restored and looking "all-so-fine" when a real jerk made a quick right turn from the far left lane right in front of me.  Short story: Dead him having no insurance and no money left me holding the bag in one hand and a totaled wreck in the other.  I sold the wreck on eBay for chump change.Cry  Luckily I did find a 1985 sitting in a field looking like a pile of nothing and paid said farmer pretty much what I got for the wreck.LOL

Here is the pictures of my 1985 Corvette Z51 that I found in a farmers field pretty much stripped out, Shocked stripped off, Wits Endsun baked and everything in the interior cracked , ripped, broken, or missing.  Pretty much the same could be said for the engine compartment. Didn't find out it was a Z51 until after I got it home (on a trailer) This is a couple of pictures of the restoration "in progress" as I am working on it and using it to take me to and from the VA hospital (90 miles one way away) every week.  I tear something apart, fix or replace it, put it back together and go to doctor, return home, and start fixing something else all over again.  I will try to keep up with the updates as best i can as I go along.  i have a bunch of "BEFORE" pics that I will try to get in and organize a slide show to show the project as it evolves into a BEAUTIFUL ONE-of-a KIND Z51 Star worthy to grace these pages and to win numerous accolades in the future!!

If anybody need any help with "how to" do most anything in a DIY'er way on one of these buggy's.....give me a holler and I'll try to help!!

Ah the pleasure in showing off ones pride and joy. This is my 1993 LT1 coupe white on white six speed. The car is a one owner mostly original, which I special ordered just after my youngest daughter graduated from nursing school with her RN degree. Kind of a reward myself present. When I first got the car I drove it quite a lot the first couple of years but after participating in more shows I got lazy and decided it was easier to keep clean if I did not drive it every day. so now it is more of a pleasure, shows, weekends and nice days therapy device.

The up side is that when I do drive it the excitement is just as invigorating as when I first got it. I love this car and expect to keep it another 20 years or so. Old Vet

This is my first Corvette..! I wasn't looking for one at first..then I searched e-bay just for ha-ha's. My bid was ridiculously low along with all the others, so it never made reserve. I e-mailed the owner and asked if I could see the car. We came to an agreed price and I drove it home. Being a newbie to Vette's at the time, I didn't know this was a special limted model. (lucky for me the ex-owner didn't know it either) I immediately joined the local Corvette club and it was the best thing I have ever done. With the knowledge and connections of my fellow members, I learned more about my Vette (and others) to hold my own. It has been 6 years since that day I bought my 35th Anniversary and even though our Vette's are always a "work in progress", I think that this is one of the best "investments in life" anyone could have.

Bought the car in Sep 2010 and this is how she looked the day I brought her home, leaves and all. The car had 217K miles on it when I got her and she still runs strong.

Lottsa nice cars, ya'll!

However...(collective groan...)
Please start a NEW topic/thread for each of your Pride and Joys in this forum, instead of adding them to this one thread. This particular thread is intended to simply let you know how to add the pics of your car, hence the title, "How to show off your C4 here". To start a new thread, simply go to the Show off your C4 forum, then click on the "New Topic" button. From there, it's the same as posting anywhere else here.
This will allow more folks to see YOUR car, instead of going thru a thread with many other cars at the same time.
Thanks!! Tongue

I agree with you totaly, nuthin like driven a Vette. Every day is a pleasure and absolute joy. To coin another C4 Vette owner, "You can cry in a Prious, but some how it is better in a Vette'. I own two C4';s . Doubt I will ever drive anything else. Use to let traffic bother me,but now, 11 mph or 85 mph, school zone, bumper to bumper, it's all good. My hand is wrapped around a stitched leather steering wheel and the lettering on the body says it all. CORVETTE and it feels so good.

Hope you enjoy yours for years to come.

I traded a Honda Shadow I wasn't riding for this (& a V45 Magna). Needs the gauges fixed, the fan doesn't kick on so it stays cool unless your sitting still & there is a noise in the trans (Nash 4+3) that seems to be the Throwout bearing. Interior needs to be freshened up as well.

Might be the probationary period imposed to new members so they don't come post spam and porn.

Wait another week then try again.

Check the file format of your image(s)(jpeg, etc). Be sure the image name does not have any spaces, or characters. File size might also be a problem.

Greg here from the great Pacific Northwest! Vancouver, WA. 1996 C4 with 68K and love every minute of it! Purchased in June after wanting one for years. A 1991 was the first Vette I drove while stationed in Italy! I have always wanted one and was finally able to start my collection!
