I recently bought my first corvette . It is a 1985 c4 . It was the first car bought in a collection owned by a gentleman from Rockingham NC. This car has been in a climate controlled 14 car garage it's whole life and has yet to spend a night outside in the weather . I have window stickers , maintenance records .sales receipt, and order forms from where it was originally bought.
This car has never had the targa top off of it .. The tool used is still in the wrapper ,as well as the vhs tape showing how to use The new state of the art Bose system that is in it also still in the wrapper ..The car has a little over 30.000 miles in it and is immaculate inside and out ..
This is my question .. Every one who see this car tells me to leave it just as it is 100% stock ,don't change a thing .. I would like to upgrade to a cd player as this has a cassette player now for one , and I saw a vette recently that had the original aluminum rims chromed .. I really liked this but don't want to do anything that will deface the value of my car .. What are the latitudes as far as changing from original parts to new ..
.. I would like to upgrade to a cd player as this has a cassette player now for one ,
