Vette(s): 1984 base coupe 17,000 miles all original. very low production number.red on red 3853. pro num.
well what did everyone think about the new 2014 c7?  i think it looks like a updated camero.  why did they change the horse power to 450. the interior is much better with the option of 2  seats .racing type the other standard. the 7 speed trans maybe. well at lest they stayed true to the older vettes by using the spring. now that the body is constructed of carbon fiber, the insurance rates most likely will jump in cost. it makes me wonder if the gm dealers are greared to fix them. the z51 option sounds cool.side oilier. sway bar in the rear. 10 inch wide tires on the rear. if you look at the 2014 camero LT1 I'll bet you it will be the same platform as the vette.

Vette(s): 1953 1992 BLACK ON BLACK

Those who ignore the past are condemned to repeat it.

As like the '63 split window coupe the C7's extremely small rear window and high rear deck will be the most despised model year in its time in terms of rearward visibility. If you weren’t there at the time you wouldn't know. GM received so much negative feedback on the split window they changed it the very next year. Only fifty years on is it the most sought after 'vette of all. Interior is well executed. Exterior, too blocky, chiseled, ricer looking. For a company who took all that public money and has no intension of ever paying it back, you think they could have hired an Italian body designer.

Vette(s): 87 Red Coupe, not as pretty, had 213G miles, great running engine; got 20-21 around town, 27-28 on hwy; I got to drive a Vette, every day for 6 yrs. It was my first; so now I know what the fuss is all about. (Sold it 2015 for $3000, still ran great.)
I like it.  I think Chevrolet made the best sports car on the planet, for the most reasonable price, and it will enhance all Vettes of every generation just by being out there and so well engineered.  I like the body, the interior, even the rear end.  It would have been better to have the tail lights on a Vette, then borrowed to a Camaro, but it looks good on both, so Camaro just got better, but the C7 looks good, too.  We can complain, but I, for one, would love to have one to complain about.  It's a new Corvette, it's way cool, better than the rest, sounds like they listened to what the Vette world wanted and tried to give it to us.  We can always bitch about a rear end, but we love 'em after we get used to 'em, huh?   Can't wait to see one in person, so I'll keep an open mind until then....

I understand that Rick Hendrix of Hendrix racing and a big time Corvette collector paid $1m for the rights to purchase vin#0001 C7 to add to his personal collection... must be nice
