I saw some advanced pics of the new 2014 C7 on the internet...... sorry to say I'm not impressed.... I'm sure it will be quite advanced but it looks like it was designed by the team that came up with the new generation Camero......

I posted a vid of the "disguised" car somewhere....lemmie see if it was here or not. I don't like it anyway, but then...I'm not real fond of any of them past '96...
Here it is...you'll need to fast forward to around the 3 1/2 minute mark to get to the Corvette....

I have to say MikeGolf93 was right about GM moving to direct injection in the Gen V small blocks. I read GM has a billion dollar investmentin this program. I'm really surprised but I guess they are chasing the last bit of fuel mileage. Anybody heard if that's what is in the C7's? 2012 rumoured to be the last of the 427 corvettes too although they have a 454 LS crate motor available. Maybe somebody can corner them at "the Gathering"

So far it's looking like a warmed over C6, which to me looks like a Viper anyway. I am curious about the tail lights, since I saw painted bumper under the 4 fake cut outs in that video. I hope it's not going to be those warmed over Caddy lights from the Stingray show car.
yes the 427 will no long be produced after 2012. the new c7 looks to be part of camero well the camero lt1 sits on the c6 and c7 platform also the cad cvts. just different sheet metal. has anyone looked at the Lt1 camero. it's a shame the 427 is a great motor. the new emission laws and fuel mileage regulations to an end to it. bummer. i would be opt to say the 2015 vette will have a 6 cly or be a hybrid.

Great video's from Car & Driver on the C7. Both are long, but well worth the time.
Many will have negative comments, BUT a Vette is a Vette and nothing else compares. I would love to be able to afford to have the first one in my town, but as it ain't gonna happen I will stick with my old 95 C4 and keep loving and driving it. Now if this darn snow would leave and spring would come so I could do the latter!
Well, if I hit the lottery tonight (a mere 17,800,000:1 shot) I'd get one. The new Viper is great but Corvette owners tend to be very loyal and Covette fever hard to shake. The thing is Corvette body styles stay much the same for longer periods of time than a lot of others so when change comes it seems a little sacrilegious. No doubt the aftermarket guys will sink their teeth into the C7 and many tweaks to the looks will be available. For instance if I had one I'd black out the space between the back roof glass and the removable top. Then I'd paint the vent grills over the back wheel to match the body color. To me that'll be a super clean look.
A great change is that they'll finally upgrade the interior to be on par (or better) than the Euro cars. The only reservation I have is with the variable valving feature of the motor. Sorry, when I'm driving a Vette I'm not worried about fuel economy. Time will tell if there'll be exploding motors like with some Z06 cars (sodium filled valve stems). Anyways, Happy 60th Birthday Corvette!

Not impressed, to much Camaro in the rear end...I am not going to be really impressed with any new Corvette until the engine is in the middle of the car behind the driver.
