Yessir, IMHO I think they need replacement. I didn't notice one of mine was bad until I started feeling/hearing a grinding noise from that wheel. But yes, if you have any movement from the wheel like you are describing, I would definitely replace.

Merry Christmas

When I replaced mine, I was in a bind and got a Parts Master replacement. I don't plan on keeping my '89 forever and I don't autocross or race. It's my daily driver. I looked at the Summit ones and would go with those in the future. I'd just go with the best you can afford.

Happy New Year everyone!!!

How hard is it to replace the rear wheel bearings? I'm new to the Corvette world, so it's all a big change for me.....an "old" Ford guy.

Vette(s): Purchased a 1986 Convert August 2013, Bright Red color with a black top, it'd already received a Tremec 5 speed upgrade along with a disc upgrade prior to purchase.
Here's a pretty good thread on doing the rear hubs and u-joints: http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144562
