Sooooo put my baby to bed for the winter. Was doing maintenance stuff Here's' one thing I found Not sure of tolerances on wheel bearings but I can wiggle both back tires ever so slightly 9 and 3 position and 12 and 6 position . Can't Hear and noises ' Have my brg's begun to fail or have they . Thanks for all replies

Yessir, IMHO I think they need replacement. I didn't notice one of mine was bad until I started feeling/hearing a grinding noise from that wheel. But yes, if you have any movement from the wheel like you are describing, I would definitely replace.

Thanks buddy I just threw it out there to see what I got there's always more than 1 opinion I plan on changing them both , so that I know what I have thanks again

Now what one to use the ten thousand dollar question A/C Delco-Timkin-chensing?I have used all of them I think ?
the problem is if it fails under warranty (my Timkins did) how much of a pain in the A,, is it to replace I happen to Live a hour from Summit in Ohio and they have never given me a hassel over something comming back Like autozone did But thats another story

When I replaced mine, I was in a bind and got a Parts Master replacement. I don't plan on keeping my '89 forever and I don't autocross or race. It's my daily driver. I looked at the Summit ones and would go with those in the future. I'd just go with the best you can afford.

How hard is it to replace the rear wheel bearings? I'm new to the Corvette world, so it's all a big change for me.....an "old" Ford guy.
