Vette(s): 1991 L98 Base Convertible w/removable hardtop.4 speed auto. White with red leather. 63,000 miles, all original except has after market radio.
Need HELPPPP!!!!!! I was hand drying my 91 had the doors open and wiping down the inner door on passenger side and hit the locking latch and the hook rolled up. I used the lock/unlock control and will not change position, therefore the door will not close. Tried to push back in position will not move. Anyone know how to fix and willing to share info? Thanks in advance. There went the show for today. Oh well

Stick a screwdriver in the opening in the latch where the "hook" has closed...while sitting in the seat... pull the screwdriver towards you.... while pulling (keeping tension on the screwdriver)....pull the inside door release handle and the latch should open.

Yup...you'll have to have either the inside or outside handle pulled to release the latch, same as you would if just opening the door. If you pull the handle, you should be able to roll the "hook" right open with your finger, but a screwdriver, or similar tool might help keep from pinching skin...
