First a warning:
Don't fiddle with it unless you have a set of those emergency cables. If it gets stuck closed or you break the normal unlatch cable it's a bugger to get open again.
With the hood closed you should be able to wiggle it up and down on the right side if either that side is not latching or that side is out of adjustment. I would seem to me that something is probably loose and if so tighten the latch on the hood side or the latch is stuck open on the cowl side and for that probably just a thorough cleaning and lubrication may do the trick. With the hood open you can easily see how the latch mechenism works.
I would bet on the latch being stuck open on that side and just dirty or a little corroded. If the cable was the problem it probably would not unlatch on that side at all.
If it isn't broke, I haven't fixed it yet....

Amen on that!!

I also agree it is probably either the latch itself is not closing due to being stuck in the open position, or the receiver is adjusted too low.
Can you push down on the hood and get it to latch?
Can you pick up on that corner, like it isn't latched at all?

I tried cleaning and pushing down trying to latch it and it still acts as if its not fully latched. The cable seems to work ok its just not fully latching and rattles really bad when dirving.i appreciate your suggestions is there anything else that I can try...thanks again

Easy peesy. First check the cable is properly adjusted. Have someone pull the release handle while you watch the release gissy move. It should move to just full open. (Do both sides while ya got her there) Adjust cable length if needed. Now here’s what your problem is. It's the conical stop (pecker head) on the hood itself. It's too far out or too long so to say. It's adjustable. Grab the pecker head and simply loosen the big flat hex nut about a turn or two. Then, turn the pecker head "in" clockwise. Try like a quarter turn at a time. (Baby steps) Just snug the nut and close the hood. When closed it should not have any play "up". This is a feel deal. You’ll know when you’re getting close. Repeat as needed. When you’re happy hold the pecker head and tighten the hex nut. No need to gorilla it. Just a tad more than snug.
This how I fixed mine anyway.
Good luck, Dave

Well...I think you prolly need to start a new thread in the "C4 General Discussion" forum, first....
But since we're here....I think it's about $7000 overpriced...maybe more. Just my .002
