I keep my Vettes in the basement. I only drive them when its not raining and I like to drive them with the tops removed. On the C3 I just leave the tops off most of the time. Is it OK to leave the targa top off for an extended period of time on the C4's or would it settle and make the top harder to get back on? Thanks

I don't think you would have an issue with leaving the targa off all the time....UNLESS you like to go bouncing over dips/bumps at high speed, that is. That might tweek the chassis enough to cause a problem, but I've never heard of anyone having a problem like that, with the exception of cars that had been wrecked. Go topless!

Hey guys, I live in Canada, and sometimes, the weather can get real hot with lots of sun, if you are going to leave the Targa top off your Corvette, make sure you keep the rubber seals well "seasoned" with a good quality rubber lubricant, I have used the GM silicone stuff and have had good results. There are lots of products out there, but the BEST that I have found so far is Meguaire's. The rubbers on the C-4 seem to dry out fairly quickly and surely will if they aren't protected against the UV the hot wind and direct sunlight.
Just a random thought...... only 120 more days before I can get mine out of storage !! WAHOO !!

I agree. I have been using the Meguires product for a long time, and it does a great job on the all the rubber seals. I leave my top off from mid May through mid September and never have had an issue
TOPPLESS! TOPPLESS! TOPPLESS! I like Toppless plus if you have problems with body flex they make a neet piece of alluminum that you install that makes the car look like it is a T top. and from what I've heard it works no squeals sqweeks or rattles. Definitely go toppless your car is a she and she will appreciate it.
I second keeping the weatherstripping moisturized during the hot weather. If the heat from Arizona summers has taught me anything, it's keep things hydrated...other than that, enjoy your ride with the targa off as much as possible

Remember, there's no place like ~ ;)
