i heard that to...however i got on the web and found several places that sell them on the gm frame  i got mine from astro tops in al  usa .  for around 600.00 and exchange . when i got it i was truly inpressed.    nice. i reconmend them above anyone else ... i have seen some other ones that came from other vin.....they didn;t even come close....note there are kits out there so you can swicth them your self...well i tryed a glass shop no good... jonney

i'm sorry to hear about someone breaking in your car...  it sucks..  if there is anything i can do to help let me know ok. 

I thought the only difference was the adjustment bracket spacing for the bolts and pins on the older ones is closer together. When my top blew out (forgot I hadn't bolted it in) I got a re & re from Melrose T-Tops with mine in exchange.  I like theirs better than some of the others and you should be able to get the correct brackets for the one you have. 

Like Johnny, I bought mine from Astro Tops in Florence Alabama. It's about an hour drive for me so I went down thre and they even did the install and adjustments. I have had it about a year and a half and so far no complaints. It looks great and seals well. Hate it that someone did that to your car, I hope karma catches up to them soon......
