When parking in the sun, this top is killing me. The inside temps really get up there. I don't have the solid top and don't like the prices I have seen for one. Has anyone did a plastic wrap on their transparent top? This is an old one that is showing stress marks anyway.

Corvette Central (and several other Corvette aftermarket stores) lists a "static cling" liner with-or-without perforations to help cool the interior.  The perforated one is Item #604426 and sells for 34.95.  Nice thing about it - it can be removed easily for driving in cooler weather.

Yes I have a 93 with transparent Hard top , and it was hot as hell , so I tried this ; bought a static cling dark blue vinyl insert from corvette mods.com 39 $ a bit pricey, but it helped , only 6 weeks old so I can't say at this point how durable it is , good luck

I have the perforated one on my '85, and it certainly helps, as does a tinted rear glass. The amount of glass on these cars, and the rake of the front windshield makes it hard to keep the interior cool, even with a solid top. Gotta leave the side windows down a tad to let the hot air circulate some while parked....and make dang sure the A/C is working correctly! Best bet is to try to always park in the shade.

My transparent top was cracked at the the edges where it sits in the rear deck holder when its off. I superglued the cracks (Loctite 454 gel) and glassed them over and under.

Then I sanded down the whole roof and had it painted red when the whole car was repainted as I prefer the look of a colour matched roof. I found some red insulation material that matched the red interior and lined the inside of the panel. Looks ok now..

I had a California Pop top that I used on my coupe.  it's like a car cover for your greenhouse.  It covers all the glass and take just a minute to put on and take off.
It really brings the temps down in hot weather.  you can leave the roof off, too and it protects you from rain.  I had the hatch ajar when I took this picture.
