"Money can't buy happiness -- but somehow it's more comforting to cry in a CORVETTE than in a Kia"

C2L = dual removable roof panels. Car had one painted, and one acrylic top.
24S = blue tint
64S = bronze tint
If you see 24S or 64S without C2L, then the optional acrylic panel was fitted instead of the painted roof. Car had only the one acrylic roof.
Another piece of trivia regarding the painted roof panel. The body-colored roof panels were painted by they supplier, and delivered to Bowling Green as a finished, ready to install part. So the paint was not always a perfect match to the rest of the car, as the batch for the roof was a different batch than the body. Same deal with ORV mirrors. Also painted off-site. They don't always match either.

'86 started the dual panel option, and the tints.

My car has a painted roof. The acryllic panel is one of two options it isn't equipped with. (The other is CB radio). So I don't know the answer to this question: Were the two colors available in 84 and 85? If they were, the RPO's aren't shown in the Black Book, but that doesn't mean these codes weren't used in those years. The Black book has lots of discrepancies with listing available, or utilized RPO's for C4's. 24S is shown as a 1977-1999 RPO. 64S the same. 1977-1999.

A guy on CF posted a pic of his 1985 SPID that shows both CC3 AND 24S. It is a late car, but it indeed has the blue roof option on the SPID. I thought there were colored roofs in 85. It may have not been all model year, but they were certainly available by ser# 33841.
I can't figure out how to include pics in posts on this forum. So here's the link to the CF post: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1584030170-post15.html
