Vette(s): 1992 Coupe with 114,000 original miles. Automatic transmission. Color is Black Rose and still has it's original paint. It also has ride select (tour, sport, performance) All original.

I have a 94 coupe and when I need to use the wipers they tend to want to "hug" each other.  They somehow get tangled together and I need to stop and turn off the Vette and get out , (in the poring rain of course) and untangle them.  It's not so much getting out in the rain than it is some of the places I need to pull over I can't get off the road and I am afraid that I will break them in the process.  Can any one tell what I need to do to correct this problem?  (other than not drive in the rain like a garage told me).

i think it would be the same procedure as i did to shorten the stroke. what i read that told me how to adjust it also said to check afterwards that there were no hangups. it could be as easy as adjusting one side.

i would put the wipers on and when they reach the limit of the stroke turn ignition off and see if one side has a longer travel and if it does shorten it. on my 90 the drivers side goes down first so in my opinion the one that is on the bottom is causing the trouble. hope this helps. let us know how you make out.
