I started getting an occasional "Coolant Low" light in my computer panel. I have checked and double checked the coolant, even added some even though it didnt need it. The wife and I were out in it all evening yesterday with no over heating problems, The engine temp is running perfect, no other signs of coolant problems. The light only comes on for very short periods (A few seconds.) Anyone have any ideas of problem areas I need to keep an eye on?

What year is your vette?
the low coolant sensor just twists and locks into the radiator on the passenger side. you may have a flaky connection or sensor. Had a customer with an 86 having the same issue, the sensor connector was corroded, i cleaned both the sensor and connector and he was good to go.

try parking the nose of the car down-hill for a while...the radiator on our C-4s is lower than the moter causing a faulty reading by the sensor....also  you may just need to "burp" ur coolant system... you may have a "bubble" in it.....

I'm gonna go with the sensor, too...seen too many GM sensors take a dump...

Mine is doing the same thing. It started after I removed the radiator to clear out 25 yrs of trash and leaves between the radiator and condenser (1/3 of the radiator was completely blocked) It runs much cooler now and I've burped it 5 or 6 times. I guess I'll check the connector and see if that helps.

Thanks Josh (and everyone else for your replies)it is a 1990, I will try the sensor first, and the BURP second. As for the parking, it's in an enclosed garage which has a minor slope to the rear for garage floor drainage, but mostly level. Wish me luck that its the first thing I go to..... LOL.

just a thought here as it happened to me. are you checking level in the plastic bottle or the actual tank reservoir? i mainly did it thru the plastic bottle in the front well and my light came on now and then. opened the tank on the firewall end and it was low. blew line clean and made sure there were no kinks and it has been fine ever since. just another thing you might check.
