Vette(s): A 1986 coupe currently with 60,000 miles, purchased in August of 2010. G44 - Rear axle 3.07 ratio, Z51 - Performance handling package, FE7 - High performance suspension, FG3 - Preloaded gas shock absorbers, to name a few.
Just wondering if anyone has an idea of how hard it is to replace the heater core in my '86. I think it's on its last legs so its that time. Is this a do it yourself project or something for a shop? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I did my 86 and it was a bit tough. I almost thought about pulling out the windshield to improve access! But my real problem was that the replacements I could find were not correct, so I suspect they changed the type/style at some point. Fortunately, I was able to read off the part number and cross reference it to a correct style at RockAuto.com. They shipped it to me and it fit fine.
Good luck
There is no problem a little horsepower can't fix!
