Now that my trans problems are behind me, I thought I'd tackle the A/C problem...I've never had A/C. So far, I've found that the accumulator (ball) is not hooked up, and the crankcase vent is looped to the front intake port (lower circle)
I'm sure that the vent is supposed to be hooked to the air cleaner and I don't see the check valve for the ball and the black 1/8" line that's coming out of the passengers side by the blower I believe is the A/C vacuum line. It comes out of a "spit loom" with the pressure cycling connector and the heater control valve.
Maybe someone can make some sense of this picture and help me sort this mess out.

Thanks for the HVAC diagram Joel; I was looking for it and had just found it in the factory service manual. So what it's saying is that the black line is going to the check valve and is tied in with the accumulator and the source; my next question is, where would the source be?

Bob, I'm not sure WHERE the vacuum comes from off of the engine, but I would assume it comes from the rear vacuum fitting, just in front of the distributor.
Here's another vac diagram for the HVAC, that's a little more detailed, but still doesn't specify where the "source" vqac comes from....

The vac. line down by the heater valve loops around and feeds off the heater control. the vac line that supplys vac. to the htr. control is in with the wireing from the ecm and is in the big wire bundle that goes into the cockpit behind the left head it is about 1/8 inch hard black plastic line as far as the check valve I got one from the bone yard there are all kinda sizes I got a small in line off a v-6 van and it works just fine sorry about the spelling I just cant type cut that class in H.S. & now Im payin for it LOL
