Have not had a chance to get under my 92 vette to check if the CAGS solenoid is hooked up. It is my understanding that if you get a first to fourth indicator that lights up in the dash when your taking off in first that the solenoid is plugged up and energized. If this solenoid is unplugged this light would no longer come on. Is this correct? Any thoughts? Thanks

I think the light will still be functional...I don't think unplugging the solenoid has any effect on whether or not the light comes on. I could be wrong....I've never really paid any attention to it.

I installed the Midamerica CAGS eliminator. This defeats the solenoid without causing a check engine light to come on. The shift light still comes on, but now you can ignore it and go to second gear.
There is no problem a little horsepower can't fix!
