I lost my back-up lights when I put my 96 LT4 in reverse a few months ago.
I checked the fuse box for a possible blown fuse, all the fuses were fine.
What could the cause be ?

Light bulbs?

If not, check the reverse indicator switch for the tranny.

Could be bulbs, or the neutral safety switch. Is this an automatic, or standard?
Either will have a switch mounted to the trans that controls the reverse lights.
I would start with the bulbs first, tho, if you haven't already.

Both bulbs at the same time?

Have you done something in the vicinity of them, like.......... mounted a hitch or a CB mount for an antenna?

Might have pinched a wire or something.

Both bulbs going out at the same time is very unlikely (but possible).

Or the switch off course like mentioned before...
