When I purchased my used 1994 C4 corvette, it did not have an original key fob. I purchased one from a well know corvette parts place and programmed it. It works great. The problem is that any battery I put in it will not last but 2 or 3 weeks max. A duracell will sometimes give me 3 weeks. I have used the PKE system and put it in the manual system both, but neither one will last past that. I even quit carrying the fob when I was using another vehicle and let it sit on the table in the house. I'm lucky to get 3 weeks out of the battery. I've tried about all the brands I've seen. This is getting to expensive to keep buying batteries. Has anyone else had this problem or do I have a bad key fob?

Make sure you have the correct batteries for this new FOB as indicated by the mfg. Maybe the problem is the new FOB and not the batteries.
I checked the battery, using the correct one. Got 3 days out of this battery. Broke down and ordered a new FOB. I'll post how this one does.
I am looking for a remote FOB for my 1993 vette. Does anyone know where I can get one. Mine has a broken wire inside the case. Maybe someone knows where I can get this one repaired.

Hey Grey,
Send an email to Bree at c4fob@yahoo.com. She supposedly the person that knows C4 fobs better than anyone. But you have to be patient because from what I hear she has a 2 month backlog of repairs.
Can you actually see a broken wire inside your fob? Possibly it’s the antenna coil wire. Not hard to fix.
