Does anyone have any experience with the cornering lights on a 86?
Is the actual power switching done with the steering column mounted turn signal switch plate or through a relay? If it is a relay, where is it hidden?
This circuit is not shown on my electrical diagram.
Thanks Fred

I can't really answer your question, however, on my 88 I had a very similar problem. Changing out the light bulb corrected all. Bulb looked good, but I think the socket may have been the problem. Anyway, all is good now.

Hi Brian
I did check to make sure the bulb was good- have seen that problem before(bulb looked fine, but the filament was actually broken and sure enough it would move if you thumped it).
Then I took a straight pin and probed into the wires before the connector- no power.
Lastly checked the hot wire to ground- no power and then the ground to known power and saw that the ground was good.
That is why I think that the problem may be with a switch or relay. The other side works correctly.
Oh well, guess I will have to break down and get a service manual (after all these years) to see how this circuit is configured.
Thanks for the reply
Fred
