Hello gent's and Ladies. Just wondered if anyone here has repaired their own Electronic dash. My 85 has gone blank lights dim and brighten but cannot see digits or bars anymore. I have experience with electronics from my time in the Army. but it would be helpful if I had some schematics for the cluster. If anyone can direct me in the right direction to a set it would be awsome. By the way if anyone else is having this issue "if you buy a pair of POLORIZED sun glasses you will be able to see the digits and bars just not at night to dark for sun glasses.L.O.L. I just don't have the seven to eight hundred to spend on replacement cluster so wanted to try myself first. Thanks in advance for any info. Save the wave!

If you can see the digits and bars in daylight, it sounds like the back light bulbs burned out. There's 4 of them. "bulb882" comes to mind for replacements. About 10-12 bucks each, if you shop for them. You have to remove the cluster to gain access to the bulb holders.

Use "bulb882" in Google. I got a zillion hits. Most from CF. Good Luck.
