Are you stating the temp gauge is not working?

or

are all the LED's lit but the temp lights?

I am not affiliated with this repair guy, but check here if you have done your diagnosis of temp sending unit and bulbs and have deemed the cluster is bad:

Not sure what your defining as "does not work" e.g. lights for the cluster, gauges, etc...

If it is both gauges, I would suspect the cluster. It's not hard to repair. The clusters from 84-90 will eventually have their issues such as shorting out, bulbs, etc...Usually it is a minor soldering task to correct.

I'm confused also...does it simply not register temp, or does that display not light up at all?
I had my cluster rebuilt by a guy in Arizona, also from e-bay...did a great job, for a VERY reasonable price. A little higher than the one mentioned above, but everything is included, except the LCD displays, if needed.
We need more info to determine if the cluster needs repair, or if there is simply a bulb burned out...

There may also be a problem with the switch in the center gauge panel that switches the display from coolant temp to oil temp, or whatever...
