My friends, first off, I will try to keep my childish humor to myself. Brief history..... car hasn't been touched for 10 years until I got it 8 months ago. It's running now but hasn't touched the road yet as I've been chasing electrical issues for 4 months. I turned on the radio, hit scan, and it cycled through searching for a station and never found one. Noticed the antenna didn't raise. Took out the radio and removed the antenna, used contact cleaner on everything and reinstalled. Turned on the radio, hit scan, still never found a station and just static like sound. This is where I have to control myself....... the antenna did extend but only raised six inches. I changed the power antenna relay. Tried again. Raised only six inches. Now, being a proud man, I like it show off what I have. I guess six inches is good for most but I want my fully extended mast to be seen by everyone. (Had to. Sorry. I'll keep the other 32 jokes to myself) As I said, it stops at six inches. New relay. No sound as if motor still running. Retracts immediately and completely. No stations picked up but think a radio issue. Ok, so..... I'm also going to start a topic about the radio. Appreciate any advice.

Just an afterthought. To the right of the antenna relay, still under hatchback trim, about 20 inches or so, is another wire set that dead ends on another relay of sorts. Does anyone know what this is? It gets pretty hot and was thinking maybe should just replace it.

After 10 years of non-use, I'm pretty sure the radio's electronics are shot.  Usual culprits are the electrolytic capacitors in the amps, but your description of the radio's response is not good.  Mine picks up a few local stations even with the antenna retracted.  Since the antenna is partially responding, that probably needs replacement.

Maybe you want to consider cutting your losses by using a new head unit that accepts bluetooth or hardwire input from music player, and new speakers.  https://www1.crutchfield.com

I think thats what I'm going to do. I can see spending a lot of time and money on this system that will have multiple failures. I've been chasing electical issues for a few weeks now and its loose wires, dirty connectors and corroded modules. Thanks for your reply.
