I have an 86 Red Coupe that has an after market Pioneer Stereo AM/FM CD player in it now. The power antenna does not go up or down when you start the car or turn the tuner on or off manually. Does anyone know if there is a switch to operate the antenna that I have not found yet. Or is there a wire out the back of the stereo ( I think it would be Blue) that has never been powered up. Any help is always welcome. Thanks in advance, Ken

there should be a wire in the back that should be hooked up. if it is then check the fuse. there should be a relay for the antenna in the rear left of the car behind the well cover.

Thanks 4 the info Eddie. I will check the wire first & then the rest. I was hoping 4 a missing interupt switch, but onward we must go. Let U know next week what it was.
There should be a pink wire in the factory wire connector for the OE radio. This wire supplied battery voltage to the antenna relay when the radio was turned on. 12 volts applied to this wire should make the ant mast go up and then go down when voltage is removed. That is as Dave said assuming the fuse and relay are good. The Pioneer Nav system I have has 2 power supplies coming out one for the power antenna and one for a auxilary amp. When either of these wires are connected to the factory pink wire... the antenna should work.
