Little problem here... I'm wanting to replace my stock engine harness on my '91 convertible with an aftermarket set, however, I can't figure out how to separate the two halves of the harness connector which is mounted on the firewall. i can't believe that the entire harness back to th fuse block has to be removed. In addition, the connector seems to be sealed with some kind of moisture glue, making it even harder to separate. Any tips?

In the center of the bulkhead connector is a bolt that holds the
connector to the fusebox. Loosen the bolt(10mm head, I think), and pull
the connector loose. Then, the two components of the connector(engine
harness/lighting harness) can be separated.
