Please express your opinion on these replacement headlights. There are at least 2 grades of Silverstars. I received an email from O' Reiley's (sp?) Auto Parts. They are offering a mail-in rebate for the purchase of a pair ... 10 bucks for one type and 5 bucks for another.

My main concern is getting a pair of lamps that are lighter in weight than the originals. I guess that means a lamp with a plastic lens. Are the Sylvania lamps lighter?

Thanks for your help, and have a Happy and safe New Year!

I've had them in my '84 since about 2004 and I love them. Thumbs Up   At that time, there was only one grade, and they were about $25 / each. The difference is that they are clear, white light. They are not yellow like other headlights, and they don't have that horrible blue tint to them. Mine have a glass lens, not plastic. I don't remember them being significantly heavier or lighter than the headlights that I took out. Hope that helps!

I put them on mine a few months ago. I didn't notice any difference in the weight but they are a lot better.
