Just wondering if any of you found a way to chrome or powercoat the covers? The last I heard everyone had a idea, but none that I have tried every worked out. I have not found one chrome shop that would even try with the metal they are made of.

While at a car show I visited the Corvette section. I found several with some really nice looking valve covers and one with a really sharp looking intake, every one of them used valve cover paint, a couple silver and one black one, the intake was painted with silver valve cover paint, all of them used a rattle can to do it. I'm thinking about going with the black and having the intake polished, but doing tehm both in black and adding some minor details has it's appeal too.....

Hey, MidAmerica has a nice set of Polished Aluminum valve covers with the C4 logo I've been considering, Corvette Central has an nice economy set of Chrome valve covers, and I'm not sure about Eckler's.. but you should have all three catalogs (free) and compare for what you like.
Someone painted the stock ones on my car and did a poor job, they're peeling ang look like hell, so that's why I'm considering the Pol. Alum. ones. Anyone tried them yet?
