So driving down the road and my 94 jumped like a new driver driving a clutch, I pressed the gas car jumped again. Then the car died. I got it to the side of the road and tried to turn it back on. The car cranks but wont start. All the lights work radio everything so I know its not a battery issue. SO now what???
Also, I dont know if it is related or not but the car is now leaking anti freeze. I think this starteed about two weeks before the car died on me yesterday.
Please someone help me I love this car its my daily driver but the wife is very upset and wants it to go away if I cant figure it out...
Thanks

Hello
It's your fuel pump that is causing the problem you are not getting enough pressure to keep the car running. The fuel pump is in the fuel tank but not at bottom of tank but at the fuel fill neck assembly. You can google DIY videos on how to change out fuel pump. Now the cheapest route would be to check or replace your fuel filter. It can also gum up and cause the car to stall.
Good Luck,

Sounds like your Opti got coolant in it.
+1 on the Opti taking a dump, especially with a coolant leak....

Don't guess. Do some diagnostics.
Is it displaying any codes? What is the fuel pressure at? Where is the anti-freeze leaking from?
Like Adam, I'm thinking the opti, especially if you are leaking at the water pump.
Weather your wife wants it gone or you are keeping it; you are going to have to fix it. So get it into a shop / friend that knows a little. You can't sell it if it won't start.
Just my 5 cents worth.
If your opti got coolant in it...it's fried. Check your DTC codes for an H16..."low resolution Pulse". This will NOT activate your SES light...it WILL, however, prevent your fuel pump and fuel injectors from activating. The optic sensor in your Optispark is probably fried.
If you decide to replace your Opti... DO NOT BUY A CHEAP ONE! While you're at it, replace your water pump. You do not want to do this again. Ask me how I know...
.
Good luck!
