When I purchased my 1995 standard coupe last November, it already had a G-Force Performance chip installed. Could some of you more veteran Corvette owners (I am a 1st timer, as this is my first Corvette) elaborate on the pros and cons of leaving the chip installed or removing it? Thanks in advance.

I'm a little confused as to what it actually DOES....according to the site, it plugs into the Intake Air Temperature sensor...and that's it. I have a hard time believing that modifying the IAT signal would give the increased power/fuel mileage that they claim.....
Might be worth it to unplug it, and see if you can actually tell any difference, either in seat-o-the-pants feel, or fuel mileage.

Hey Joel,
I just installed a G force chip today. I noticed a nice improvement in acceleration and my highway mileage went from 14 + mpg to 18.6 mpg according to the on board feel good indicator! (holding it at 60 mph over five miles) .
Okay for a $69 investment....

Changing the "chip" (PROM) will certainly make some difference....I have a Hypertech one in my '85. However, the link David posted above goes to something totally different altogether. Most aftermarket PROMS will change the timing some, and also alter the injector pulse some, depending on what the original program was for. Some go deep enough in to change the cooling fan on/off points, cold start injector pulse, even EGR operations.
btw...I get 26mpg in the '85, IF....and that's a BIG IF, I drive it nice.
