I just noticed the LT1 oil temp was 240 degrees. I changed the oil and it was the same temp on the digital dash. The analog gauge reads about 160. It hardly moves. Any suggestions?

If you have a lower temp.on the anolog gauge i would say you have a bad temp. sensor for the digital gauge.Take a temp. reading at both sensors,if you get the same reading at both sensors,i would say you have a bad digital tempature gauge.GOOD LUCK.

No I don't think so. Both sensors are in the same sensor body. I replaced it. The digital indication lowered about 5 or 10 degrees but the two are still far apart. LT1 oil is said to run quite hot. I believe the 220 digital indication not the 160 analog. How can I calibrate to analog gauge.

Then get a third reading if you have doubts.
Use an infared gun on different locations on the block if need be.

What is the coolant temp showing when the oil temp is 240*?
