hi everybody i have a question about my vette's engine..
i wanna know how many HP i've got and what's my 1/4mile time?

(our dragstrip was shutdown by the goverment cuz of some street racers that we're badly injured after an accident)

i replaced the original engine with a 383ci stroker
it has a NASCAR Racing Cam with High Lift and Wide Valve Overlap
a Quadrajet carburetor 
exotic long tube Hooker headers with SLP loudmouth bullet II Mufflers
im not sure about the Heads and the Manifold cuz my brother installed them for me but they look like the ones on Big Block engines and pretty much like 454ci engine has
and a 3.730 gear ratio with GM700 5 speed transmission with B&M tiptronic shifter
sorry i don't have the numbers of the Compression Ratio but i'll try to find the box and i'll write it down for ya

P.S: i raced two vettes,
#1: a 2002 C5 Z06 that had a Corsa Exhaust System and a K&N Air Filter
#2: a 2007 C6 Z06 that only had a Street Racing Cam
i've won both races with 200meters off them..

No way for us to know...its best you put it on a dyno and get numbers.

Heck, a good tune with tune up alone can add up to 20hp.

with the parts you listed, get a dyno as a base, then tune the car accordingly.

that's the problem our only Dyno Test garage is at the Dragstrip's and the whole region is closed..

but i remember i read somewhere sometime ago at another site that they could tell you how many HP and your 1/4mile time will be because they do some kind of math technique or calculate all the parts and the weight of the car, i dunno what's the whole process but they figured out everything about some guy's car..

Yeah...I've seen that site before.

In all honesty it isnt that accurate...too many variables play a part.

heck; temperature, altitude, humidity, and dew point is enough to make one cars hp. rating different in a west coast vs. east coast scenario.

Sorry to hear about the drag strip...sounds like a dyno shop would be lucrative where you live...you can have a dyno without a drag strip...all it takes is $60k to $120...LOL

i know it's not that accurate but it's better than nothin and our weather really suck at this time of year cuz it's really really hot

we used to have alot of Dyno Shops before but they closed cuz nobody was buying performance parts for their cars (really pricey cuz it's from outside our country)

but our Dragstrip will be back at next September with a new Events, Car Shows and Burnout Contest..etc

PS: if u wanna make some serious money u should open a Performance Shop in my country cuz we only have one and it sucks at shipping and really expensive but believe it or not i don't know how we managed to build Top Fuels, Funny Cars, Pro Mods and Pro Stocks in here
