Im currently redoing my intake, runners and plenum gaskets my question is I have seen most buying the fel-pro gaskets for the install. When I check them out the sets don't have the front and rear long thin plenum gaskets but if you buy just the intake gaskets they come in that package. Can some one shed some light here on why this is and if you like another gasket better.I just don't understand why they wouldn't come with the entire set rather than separate set in another package.I have also been told to use the RIGHT STUFF can gasket maker is this wise to use with the gasket also? 1990 corvette convertible 350 tpi auto ....thanks

Just my two cents. I don't know why felpro doesn't include those. Being new to Corvettes I haven't had to do that job. I also have a 90 TPI. Usually if the shop manual is silent on the issue of gasket maker I wouldn't use it. Why? Unless stated the sealants and gasket makers are not recommended. If you use a little too much and it oozes out most of those materials will foul the O2 sensors.
Felpro is usually high quality. I was a Ford guy for 35 years and the mechanics at the dealer always recommended Felpro. Our local machine shop, in busineess over 50 years only recommends Felpro.
I guess you just buy the other two pieces.
If it isn't broke, I haven't fixed it yet....

I replaced mine about 4 years ago and used Felpro. They are high quality and fit perfect. Make sure you compare the old gaskets to the new ones, for 1989 and 1990, Felpro did not knock out two coolant port holes - they are etched and easily removed
