what does everyone think about pulling the tpi motor in favor of the ls motor i get mixed answers on this one some say corvettes can be hotrodded as long as you keep the original engine while others say the 4th gens are worthless because of the quauntity of them out there and putting ls motor make them worth more what do you think

Does a LS motor make a C4 worth more? C4 values are not anywhere we owners think they should be, by and large not collectables yet, maybe in another 10 years, who knows. But the LS engine is pretty neat, has loads of potential and goodies available to modify them and if someone gave me one, I'd replace my LT1 in a heartbeat. To the purist, I decreased it's value. To the hobbiest, way more fun in the seat of the pants.

Many owners have stroked the original L98 or LT1/4 and made 500-600 rwhp so big numbers are doable.
450 crank hp is VERY doable with a 383 stroker.

I personally think that having a "numbers matching" car applies to those that anticipate having the car judged and to the collectors.
For a daily driver car- I would make the swap.
After all- Do you own the car or does the car own you?
