Vette(s): 1996 LT4 Blk/Blk coupe all origional
I am in a difficult situation. Moving to the Philippines and they have 100% import tax and avg traffic speed of 35mph so my LT4 is for sale. I purchased the car from An American Classic restoration shop. The owner is Al Wagner who helped design this car. I'm 3rd owner and have all documentation since I've owned it. The problem with real low mileage cars is seals get dried out and leak. I've just completed a $6000 overhaul of car. New steering rack (Z51), pump, hoses, front mainseal, MSD ignition (Optispark, coil, wires), waterpump, belt, rear mainseal, dual mass flywheel, disc, pressure plate, TO and pilot bearing, slave cyl and master to slave line, rear trans seal, HD universals and balanced drive shaft. New disc brakes with ceramic pads front and rear with SS lines. New tires. I've had car for 5yrs and trips to VT, KY and VA on regular basis. With F41 (softest C4 suspension-great dirving car and still handles excellent without beating you like Z51)and 6sp ZF I get 16-20mpg in city and 30mpg at 65-70mph hwy. Dyno (chassis) tested last year and 300 RWHP (est 350hp despite Chev 330hp advertized) as all LT4's make. Runs smooth all the way to 6300rpm redline as designed but I normally use below 2000rpm for comfort and mileage. Never overheats even in 100deg traffic. Everything works as origional. Pwr seats, Bose Gold. New headliner, sunvisors, rear carpet with two layers of heat/soundproofing. Have front carpet not installed, spare EMC and Chassis CM in box. All parts GM NOS where possible. Had 40,000mi when I purchased and 73,000mi now. Am NCRS member and kept car near origional.
I've never been able to post pic here but have photos available and will be glad to talk/deliver to eastern US (driving after snow and salt is clear). Asking $12000. Contact me at bagpipedave@yahoo.com. That reminds me..rebuilt headlight motors with delron bearings and using Hella lamps w/super bright white 90/100w bulbs for last 3yrs without problems. Have SBW55/60w in box along with origional plastic lamps.
Car has been sold..Thanks for your interest.
