I discovered that the problem with the passenger side headlight motor was one of the curved magnets inside the stator (steel tube with two magnets glued into it) had come loose and had broken into pieces. Somtimes the motor would turn a few degrees or vibrate or not move at all.
Does anyone have this single part?
I don't care if the housing is cracked/broken, has stripped gears or the armature is burned up- just need that one piece.
Let's keep the C4s on the road!

Try Dino's Corvette Salvage in Picayune Mississippi 39466 http://www.corvettesalvage.com/ I've had good luck with him. Ask about pricing on exactly what you want and shipping too, maybe you can get the whole part for less. JRB

Thanks for the responses-
It is a 86 coupe and the bad one is on the passenger side (although the part looks the same as the other side).
i never have had an occasion to try Dino's but will keep them in mind. BTW-I have had good luck with Uptmore in Waco for used parts.
THANKS again Fred

OK, got a good magnet and glued it in.
Now the motor runs, but only in one direction. Tried voltage from the ground to the center pin and the outer pin on the connector and the motor still ran in the same direction.
Turns out that the brass (?) finger contacts (inside the housing) were damaged and, of course, one broke when I tried to straighten it out.
Does anyone have a housing (good or cracked) with good contacts for free or cheap? If you have an 86 convertable-I may have something that you may be interested in.
Thanks Fred
